Chinese New Year
This holiday celebrates the welcoming of Spring, and is the Chinese equivalent of the English New Year. It is always welcomed with lion and dragon dances, and mandarin oranges are exchanged for blessings, while singles and children receive “Hong Bao” or "Ang Pow" (red packets filled with money) for good luck. On the holiday eve, Chinatown is is lit up with spectacular fireworks. There will also be the Chingay Procession, Singapore’s grandest street parade! Be mesmerised by the the awesome float procession!

Deepavali
Also known as The Festival of Lights, it celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil. During Deepavali, Little India explodes with vibrant colours and lights, especially along Serangoon Road. Soak in the festivities as you check out the festive bazaar and enjoy the cultural performances.

Hari Raya Puasa
This festival marks the completion of a month of fasting (Ramadan), for every Muslim. In the heart of Geylang Serai is the Malay Village, a vibrant cultural showcase of the Malay community. Discover what it was like to live in a village community 'Kampong Days', which showcases the traditional lifestyle of Malays. By night, it will transform into a lively night bazaar with glittering lights, from October to November. With traditional costumes, handmade crafts and halal delicacies up for sale, it is a bargain not to be missed!

Christmas

Be mesmerised by the pulsating lights and ornaments on trees along Orchard Road as they sparkle and create magical moments in Singapore's most famous street.
