Singapore Zoological Gardens   and   Singapore Night Safari

The Singapore Zoological gardens and the Singapore Night Safari are both spin-offs of the Widlife Reserves Singapore, which also owns the Singapore Jurong Bird Park. The mission of Wildlife Reserves Singapore is to operate world-class wildlife parks providing excellent exhibits of animals and birds in their natural habitats for the purpose of conservation, education and recreation. To date, the Singapore Zoological Gardens and Singapore Night Safari have achieved fame in the region with their Open Zoo concept - animals live in spacious and landscaped enclosures simulating that of their natural habitat.

Some famous celebrities who have visited the Zoo include Croc Hunter Steve Erwin, Pop Group Enery and Perth Wildcats and Sydney Kings. Both the Singapore Zoological gardens and Singapore Night Safari are conveniently located at the same place in Mandai Road.

Should you need a comfortable transportation to and from the Zoo and Night Safari, you can book my private limousine service by sending me an email at steventan@merlioncity.com or give me a call at (65)98581198.

Singapore Zoological Gardens

Breakfast with Ah Meng at the Singapore ZooHome to 3,000 animals, the Singapore Zoological Gardens is a great place for adults and kids. The animals are kept in spacious, landscaped enclosures that are separated by dry or wet moats, in an Open Zoo concept to simulate their natural habitats. Come early in the morning and you can join in for breakfast with an Orang Utan named "Ah Meng" - the zoo's most popular and well-known mascot. You will also get to see barn owls flying past and animals like the gibbon and spider monkey clambering on a vine.

Starting from 9am in the morning and lasting to the end of the day, you may also join in the free tour as the keepers feed the various animals such as the polar bear. Also, dont miss out on a tram ride or horse carriage ride round the zoo, but come prepared with sun-tan lotion as you spend a morning with the animals of the Singapore Zoological Gardens.

The Zoo is a hive of activity throughout thr day - catch the animal feeding times, see the animal shows, take the tram or horse carriage rides or simply visit the animal enclosures. Not to be missed are the playful polar bears in their water enclosure. Catch their feeding time at 1:05pm daily.
